PM Kisan Yojana Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PM-KISAN are as follows:

  2. Landholding Size: Small and marginal farmers with landholding of up to 2 hectares are eligible to benefit from the scheme. There is no restriction on the type of crops grown on the land.
  3. Farming Category: Farmers from all states and union territories are eligible to apply for PM-KISAN, regardless of the type of farming they practice, whether it’s crop cultivation, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, etc.
  4. Income Tax Payers: Farmers who are income tax payers are not eligible for PM-KISAN benefits. The scheme is specifically targeted at providing support to farmers with limited financial resources.
  5. Aadhaar Card Requirement: To avail of PM-KISAN benefits, farmers are required to have a valid Aadhaar card. The Aadhaar number should be linked to the bank account in which the benefits will be transferred.
  6. Application Process: The application process for PM-KISAN varies from state to state. In some states, the registration is done automatically based on land records, while in others, farmers may need to apply online or through designated application centers.
